People Systems Administrator

Gusto is looking for a People Systems Administrator who understands clean employee data is essential to good decision-making. You’ll build and maintain our people data warehouse that delivers data to over 120 managers across the company. As an operations superstar, you’ll own HR data integrity and its accessibility in an environment that’s constantly evolving.

We’re scaling (and changing!) quickly. Your role is essential to leaders making the right decisions on a daily basis to move the company forward.

The position is full-time and based in San Francisco.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Solve puzzles. Never short of interesting challenges, your goal will be to keep HR data clean, flowing through multiple systems, and accessible.
  • Stay one step ahead. Work closely with our HR team to stay on top of updates, spanning from the organizational level down to personal employee details.
  • Collaborate. Partner with IT, L&D, Recruiting, and the People Team to provide insightful reports essential to their success.
  • Elevate the Gustie experience. Empower managers to make better decisions by delivering accurate and historical information about each of their team members.

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • Attention to detail. If something seems off, you want to figure out what’s going on and, more importantly, why and how to solve it. Data hygiene is always top of mind.
  • Get-it-done attitude. While proactively resolving data discrepancies, you’re also thinking of creative ways to help our systems scale.
  • Self-starter mentality. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment with the capacity to thrive under ambiguity.
  • Flexibility. The willingness to adapt quickly to tackle various ad-hoc problems that might arise.
  • Background. 1-2 years of relevant experience with HR data + systems.
  • Technical skill. Bonus points for experience in implementing new People Systems.
